Resources Used

 

Here is a complete list of the research resources we used to discover the history of the Unionville School District and surrounding townships as of March 2001.

Prersonal resources:

We are truely grateful to the following people who helped students with this project. Many of the people came to the classroom to speak with students, as well as inviting them and the teachers into their beautiful homes.

  • Cathy Allaband and Mary Crossan: for the information about local history.
  • Martha Brown: historic home, history of the schools and community.
  • Chadds Ford Historical Society: Students were allowed to research here.
  • Chester County Historical Society: Teachers M.Basilio, S.Tate and R.Martin attended a local history seminar in October. They also allowed students to do independent research at the historical library.
  • Louise Cleveland, Librarian, Charles F. Patton Middle School: Thank you for all you help with finding the resources we needed, and purchasing items for our school library.
  • Mary Dugan: history of community, Marlborough Village, Underground Railroad
  • Lorraine Francis: Green Lawn Guest Home
  • Rich Hug: Our district Technology Coordinator for technical assistance and encouragement Deidre Gleason, district technical support for some technical assistance.
