Public schools are not the only source of education in the Unionville Chadds-Ford area. There is a wealth of educational opportunities from historical one room school houses to the Univeristy of Pennsylvania Veterinarian Center at New Bolton. There are so many one room school houses dotting the countryside, that we will explore them in more depth in future years. Each one offers something to the development of our educational system as it is today. Longwood Gardens is a world reknown center of horticulture learning. Student interns come from every continent to study at this supurb educational environment. The Brandywine River flows throught the area and thus invites area residents to maintain the land along the waterway and preserve the quality of water through the educational programs of the Brandywine Valley Association. Another conservation group, the Brandywine Conservancy is concerned with the quality and quantity of the water of the Brandywine river. They too offer educational programs for students, as well as adults.
