The Chester County Tobacco-Free Coalition (CCTFC) is pleased to announce the annual Take Down Tobacco Meme Contest (formerly Kick Butts Day.) Students in grades 6-8 are encouraged to create a vaping awareness meme and upload it to our website. The deadline for contest entries is Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Winning memes will be featured in a social media campaign, and the winning schools will receive posters of their memes for display.  Examples of previous winners can be found on our website: https://www.chesco.org/3976/CCTFC-Initiatives.

2020 taught us all how important lung health is. Thank you for supporting youth in taking down tobacco!

Here's a contest announcement from the Pennsylvania Society of Biomedical Research. Don't miss out! Our Essay Contests and Poster Contest will be continuing. Our Digital Media Contest is back for a second year. Students of all ages are welcome to participate and the submission deadline is March 14, 2021.

The world is full of interesting and weird plants, from plants that eat insects to plants that hitchhike. This year, Longwood Gardens is hosting a STEM design challenge in which you and a team of your peers have the opportunity to create a weird plant! The Pennsylvania Invention Convention is a student invention competition designed to showcase and celebrate student problem-solving, innovation, creativity, and ingenuity.  This competition is open to all students in grades 5 through 12. This competition has 3 levels:
 
1. Virtual Online Competition (online submissions) - all participants [Deadline: Dec 31] 2. Statewide Finalists Competition (takes place at PETE&C in Pittsburgh)
3. Invention Convention - US Nationals (The Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation)
