Special Education
Special Education Services are provided by the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District (UCFSD) and through consortiums with other education agencies, including the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU). Our partnerships with community agencies help us enhance and support our students’ educational experience.
The District provides appropriate special education services to all students who qualify for and are in need. The District is able to provide a full spectrum of services, tailoring the program and placement to meet the specifications detailed in the student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
The District’s ultimate goal for each student enrolled in any special educational program is to provide an appropriate education experience in the least restrictive environment with all the services and supports necessary to ensure the success of the student. Ancillary services will be instituted when needed to assist the student to accomplish their IEP goals.
