The Patton Hawks collected nearly 1,000 new gifts as part of their annual Giving Tree program and delivered them to the New Garden Township Building to be distributed to families in need! Students also helped fill 600 food boxes for KACS!

The Technology and Engineering Student Association at Unionville High School handcrafted wooden dinosaur toys that will be available at the Kennett Area Community Services’ Christmas charity event this Saturday.
Earlier this month, the United Soccer Coaches announced the association’s High School Boys and Girls All-America Teams for the 2019 fall season. Michael Hewes is one of only 131 High School All-Americans selected for this honor. Read his story here!
Congratulations to Lorya Xu, a 6th grader at Patton Middle School, for winning the Education for Children & Youth Experiencing Homelessness Program (ECYEH) Art Contest! PA has over 36,000 homeless children and Lorya’s artwork will help create awareness of this issue!

The U-PRISE 4th Annual Community Resources Fair is January 22, 2020, from 6:00-7:30 pm in UCFSD District Office Public Meeting Room (Room #14) and is open to ANYONE in our greater community who is interested in learning more about the camps, resources, and/or supports made available by the attending groups.

November 18, 2019, was the final school board meeting for four of the District’s nine school board directors. After spending several years on the UCF school board, Carolyn Daniels, Vic Dupuis, Gregg Linder, and Bob Sage have stepped down to make way for a new crop of board directors. A video was shared during Dr. Sanville’s Superintendent’s Report that captures the Board’s achievements over those six to eight years.

Beginning November 1, consider donating gently-used, clean (unstained) coats and hoodies to the Annual UCFSD Coat Drive. All sizes and styles, infant through adult, are needed! Donated items can be dropped off in the lobby of any UCF district school through December 2.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation recently announced that 22 Unionville High School students have been named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists. This is the largest group of semifinalists to be recognized at Unionville High School.
UHS Freshmen were challenged to identify their brand and how the idea of Service Above Self might impact their brand. The end result, beautiful murals that expressed to the community what collectively the Class of 2023 can do to help others.
