The Unionville High School Players presented a virtual production of Animal Farm on Saturday, November 14th. The UHS Players brought this story to life while acting out the scenes in a socially distanced virtual format. Watch the performance here and view the cast/crew list!
Based on changes in the past week (listed here) and the dramatic spread of COVID-19 in our community we will transition to virtual learning for middle school and high school on Monday, November 16. Citadel Credit Union has kicked off the 19th annual Citadel Heart of Learning Award program, which honors local teachers who go above and beyond the call of duty. The program accepts nominations from students, other teachers, administrators, and members of the community. Nominations are accepted through December 31st, 2020.

The 2020-2021 PTO Directory is now available in PowerSchool! Parents can access the directory by logging into their Parent Portal and selecting School Bulletin from the options in the left panel. From there, select the UCF PTO Directory which will then pull up this year's highly anticipated directory.

Last night our School Board voted unanimously to open our four elementary schools on Monday, October 12. For Middle School and High School, we continue with remote instruction for now and hope for a return to in-person instruction on October 26. The School Board also voted to affirm our fall Athletics Health and Safety Plan, which allows for UHS student-athletes to participate in an interscholastic season. Patton fall sports teams will continue with the inter-squad program at this time.
Part of the Legislation agenda, during the School Board Meeting on September 21, 2020, included a motion to approve Statement Condemning Racism, Discrimination and Social Injustice. The motion was approved and the statement can be viewed here.
The guide outlines mitigation measures to allow school in-person instruction and the education models the District is recommending to maximize in-person education while maintaining proper safety protocols.

On August 24, 2020, the Unionville-Chadds Ford School Board voted 9-0 to retire the UHS American Indian Mascot. Read more about the process and decision to retire the UHS Mascot and view Mr. Crater's presentation here.
Last night, the School Board approved a virtual start to the 20/21 school year through October 9, 2020. They also voted to officially begin the school year on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. Please read more for important information on what to expect in the upcoming weeks.
Lorya Xu, from Patton Middle School, was announced as the winner of PennDOT's 2020 Middle School Safety Drawing Contest! Drawings focused on saving lives and keeping bicyclists, motorists, and pedestrians safe. Lorya has also been named as PennDOT's District 6 Middle School Safety Ambassador for 2020. Patton Middle School Orchestra students were able to come “together” in song thanks to their teacher Ms. Heather Dice. The finished product took the entire summer to produce and gave students that final moment of musical pride that comes with an end of the year performance.
